Puppenhouse / Vienna, Austria / Jun 2009 Collaboration with Ilinca Cretu Customised architect's model house, glued to moderately busy sidewalk of Vienna along with marker pens and a bilingual instruction to use them on the structure. Puppenhouse questions graffiti as an intrusive act (how is it when it is done on previously inexistent structures?), defies perception of scale in public space, creates interactivity between urban furniture and passersby and, more widely, introduces playfulness and the unusual in the day-to-day life.Note: the original model was purchased from a charity shop. A sticker underneath read: "Copyright: Atelier Othmar Lechner" |
